Village Hotel Sentosa review

I stayed at Village Hotel Sentosa for a short 2-day, 1-night trip, and honestly, I had mixed feelings about it. The room felt incredibly small—almost claustrophobic—but on the bright side, the facilities were well-maintained, the pools were fantastic, and the breakfast was solid. So, if space isn’t a big deal for you, this sentosa hotel might still be a good option.

Convenient Location with Resort-Like Vibes

Village Hotel Sentosa is about a 30-minute drive from Changi Airport, making it a fairly easy destination to reach. The hotel is located in Sentosa, a popular island resort in Singapore, so there’s no shortage of things to do nearby. You’ve got Universal Studios, S.E.A. Aquarium, Adventure Cove Waterpark, and even beach clubs within walking distance. The hotel itself has a resort-style layout, with multiple buildings connected by outdoor pathways, giving it a more relaxed, vacation-like feel.

Compact Rooms That Feel Cramped

The biggest downside? The rooms are tiny.

The cleanliness feels good
Small toilet in the hotel room

If you’re used to spacious hotel rooms, this might be a deal-breaker. The beds are comfortable enough, but there’s barely any space to move around, and the storage options are pretty limited.

The bathroom was clean and modern, but again, on the smaller side. If you’re traveling solo or as a couple with minimal luggage, it’s manageable. However, for families or those with lots of baggage, it can feel pretty cramped.

Impressive Pool Facilities

One of the best parts of Village Hotel Sentosa is the pool area. There are four different pools: the Pamukkale Pool (inspired by Turkey’s famous terraces), the Lazy River, the Adventure Pool, and the Children’s Pool. The variety makes it great for all ages—families with kids will especially love it.

The pools are clean, well-maintained, and provide a nice escape from the Singapore heat. If you’re a pool lover, you’ll enjoy your stay here.

Surprisingly Good Breakfast

I had pretty low expectations for the breakfast, but it turned out to be quite decent. The buffet spread included a mix of Western and Asian dishes, with enough variety to keep things interesting.

Dried fruits that Koreans love
Papaya, pineapple, crackers, cheese, etc.

The quality was better than I expected for a mid-range hotel, and the coffee was actually pretty good. If you’re the type who values a good breakfast to start your day, you won’t be disappointed.

Facilities Worth Mentioning

Besides the pools, the hotel offers a small but decent gym, and there are some nice lounge areas to relax in. However, there’s no spa or sauna, which might be a letdown for those looking for a more luxurious experience. The hotel does offer some family-friendly activities, but if you’re looking for high-end amenities, you might want to look elsewhere.

Room Rates – Is It Worth It?

Pricing varies depending on the season, but generally, a standard room costs between SGD 250–400 per night. For the location and facilities, it’s not a bad deal, but considering the small room size, it might not be the best value for money. If you find a good promotion, it’s definitely worth considering.

Final Thoughts

Overall, Village Hotel Sentosa has a lot going for it—especially if you’re looking for a family-friendly hotel with great pools in a prime location. However, the small rooms could be a deal-breaker, depending on your preferences. If you’re okay with compact spaces and prioritize facilities over room size, this hotel could still be a great choice. Personally, while I enjoyed my stay, I’d probably only return if I got a good deal.
